Traveling with my elderly parents often requires a lot of coordination and sensitivity, so I was a bit worried about joining a group day tour. It offered a moment of quiet reflection and was an unexpected favorite for me.

Our driver also deserves a mention. His car was clean, had no strong scent which my mom is very sensitive to, and his driving was steady throughout the day. Even the return to Shanghai felt effortless.
