· Payment Method: Mobile payment is very popular in Xitang. Almost all stores (including small snack stalls), scenic spots and transportation vehicles support Alipay and WeChat Pay. Foreign tourists can bind their international credit cards to Alipay or WeChat Pay to make payments. It is recommended to exchange a small amount of cash (500-1000 yuan) in advance, because a few small stalls may not support mobile payment, and cash is also convenient for tipping (optional, not mandatory).

- Autumn (September-November): Cool and pleasant, wear a thin sweater or jacket and flat shoes.
- Winter (December-February): Cold and humid, wear a down jacket, sweater and warm shoes.
· Note: The bluestone roads in the ancient town are uneven and easy to slip when wet, so flat shoes are a must.

· Items to Bring:
- ID Documents: Passport (must be carried, required for ticket purchase, accommodation and other procedures);
- Electronic Products: Power bank, charger, camera (to record the beautiful scenery of the water town);
- Daily Necessities: Sunscreen, mosquito repellent, umbrella/raincoat, toiletries (some budget hotels may not provide complete toiletries);
- Medicine: Common medicines such as cold medicine, diarrhea medicine, band-aids (it is not convenient to buy foreign-language medicines locally);
- Others: A small backpack (to carry snacks and personal items), comfortable water bottle (you can fill water in scenic spots and restaurants).

· Local Customs & Etiquette:
- When taking photos of locals or their houses, it is polite to ask for their permission first to avoid causing misunderstandings.
- When taking a gondola, do not stand up or shake the boat to ensure safety; do not throw garbage into the river to protect the water environment.
- During the Hanfu Culture Week (November), if you see tourists wearing Hanfu, you can take photos politely, but do not disturb them.
- When eating in restaurants, do not waste food; it is polite to say "thank you" after receiving food or service.

· Safety Tips:
- Keep your passport, cash, mobile phone and other valuables properly to avoid loss.
- The bluestone roads are slippery in rainy days, so walk carefully.
- Do not take unlicensed tricycles or gondolas to avoid being overcharged or having safety hazards.
- The river in the ancient town is deep, do not get close to the river bank casually, especially with children.
