Regarding the weather, late June in Hangzhou is generally warm and humid, with daytime temperatures ranging from 28°C to 34°C (82°F to 93°F). While it can feel quite hot during midday, a morning or late afternoon ride is much more pleasant and offers beautiful light for viewing the lake and its surrounding gardens. We’ll gladly plan the timing based on your comfort and preferences.

For the tour, we typically use the Hangzhou city bike system or comfortable rental bikes, which are ideal for relaxed riding along the flat, scenic pathways that circle the lake. The route is designed to be leisurely, with frequent shaded areas and scenic stops for photos and rest.

Your English-speaking cycling guide will accompany you throughout, ensuring not only a smooth route and safe riding conditions, but also sharing cultural insights and stories about the landmarks along the way—from Su Causeway to Broken Bridge, and peaceful temples nestled in the hills.
