Thank you for your message and interest in visiting both Huangshan (Yellow Mountain) and Hongcun Village during your trip.

While it is technically possible to visit both in one day, we would like to let you know that it would be a very tight schedule, and you might feel rushed.

To help you plan better, here’s a brief overview of the travel times:

– From Huangshan North Railway Station to the Yellow Mountain Scenic Area takes about 1 hour by car

– From the Yellow Mountain Scenic Area to Hongcun Village takes another 1 hour by car

– And you would also need to factor in the time needed to explore each site properly, as well as the return transfer to the train station in the evening

Given these time constraints, we recommend focusing on Huangshan only for a more relaxed and immersive experience, especially since hiking or taking the cable car up the mountain and enjoying the scenic viewpoints already makes for a fulfilling day.

Alternatively, if your schedule allows, a 2-day itinerary would be ideal—Day 1 for Huangshan and Day 2 for Hongcun and other nearby villages, offering a more complete and enjoyable visit without feeling rushed.
