I grew up in Hangzhou and moved abroad years ago, so I wanted my two kids to see it properly. This tour was made for that, the guide spoke both languages easily and explained the culture in a way that landed for children, not just facts. We did West Lake, the old riverside where I used to play, and a calligraphy stop the kids loved. The guide adjusted the route when my son got tired and we spent extra time at a park instead. Meals were home style, congee and steamed fish, exactly what my grandmother made. Felt personal and warm.
