We travelled with my parents and my young son and this three day route from Hangzhou worked for all ages, which I did not expect. The train was comfortable, the cable cars meant my parents did not have to grind up every step, and there was enough variety between mountain and villages that my son stayed interested. Our guide was patient with the slower pace. Felt genuinely tailored rather than a fixed itinerary.
