Tips:
The Qianjiang New Town light show is very popular; we recommend using the restroom beforehand as on-site facilities are limited.
Consider spending the evening shopping, dining, or watching movies nearby at Sandship Outlets, Raffles City, or MixC, and head to the show shortly before it begins.
The area can get crowded. If you plan to use a drone for aerial photography, check with local authorities or on-site security to avoid violations. You can also call the Mayor’s Hotline at 0571-12345 for inquiries.
As the viewing area is by the river, it can be windy at night. Bring a jacket, especially for children and the elderly.
If possible, consider taking a Qiantang River night cruise. You can enjoy a boat tour and also get a wider and better perspective of the light show during the performance.
In case of force majeure events (such as typhoons), announcements will be made promptly if the light show is canceled.
Qiantang River Night Cruise
As night falls and city lights begin to glow, the buildings along both banks of the Qiantang River light up in dazzling colors, instantly illuminating the river at night.
