Impression westlake show sets on the lake with high tech stage set up. It is one of the creations of famous Chinese director Zhang Yimou. The spectacle is a typical light and sound show and set in natural surroundings right on the lake. It is a beautiful / poetic show. We just loved it. The set is located along the shore next to souvenir boutiques /cafes. For Starbucks lovers there is one not far away. As the crowd dispersed, it was almost impossible to get a taxi. We had to use a black market car but I was ok at negotiating so price was reasonable. Problem should be less severe these days with didi taxi and uber.The employees were very welcoming.If you are in Hangzhou, don't miss it.

We booked three tickets from China hangzhou tour. The booking was quite easy and it was easy to get the tickets at the ticket office with the booking code they sent to us. We watched Impressions of Hangzhou on 3rd May 2018. It was a beautiful show with many many performers and stunning combination of reflections and colours. The show consists of some singing and dancing numbers on the water. I loved the synchronization of the performers, it requires lots of training and they did it quite well. The only downside is that most of the audience are Chinese and they are very loud, talking non stop and taking lots of videos and pictures with flash even when it's not allowed.
