Is Kung Fu real?
Reviewed to: Chinese Kungfu

Dear Excel,
Thank you for your question! Yes, Kung Fu is real—it’s a traditional Chinese martial art with centuries of history. Beyond the stylized versions seen in movies, authentic Kung Fu involves rigorous training, discipline, and philosophy. Practitioners develop strength, flexibility, reflexes, and mental focus.
If you’re interested, we can arrange experiences where you can see live Kung Fu demonstrations, visit training schools, and even try basic techniques under expert guidance. It’s a great way to experience this cultural heritage up close.
Warm regards,

This tour gave us a fantastic mix of Hangzhou’s traditional beauty and its vibrant modern life. The peaceful West Lake set the tone, and our guide Emma shared great stories about its legends. But what really impressed me was the visit to City Balcony. It’s such a lively riverside area where locals hang out, and the views of the skyline are stunning, especially as the sun starts to set. Emma helped us soak in the atmosphere and even pointed out some cool local spots we wouldn’t have found on our own.
Qianjiang New Town was a total highlight with its futuristic skyscrapers and buzzing energy. Walking through the ultra-modern streets felt like stepping into a new world compared to the calm of West Lake and Longjing Village. The company was very flexible, accommodating our schedule changes easily.
Our driver was polite and kept the car super clean, and he navigated the busy city roads smoothly. Ending the day with some shopping at the outlet was a nice way to wind down. The whole trip felt well-paced and diverse.

This tour was a perfect way to see the best of Hangzhou without feeling rushed. The itinerary was well balanced — starting with the beautiful Guo’s Villa and the peaceful Lotus in the Breeze at Crooked Courtyard, followed by a serene West Lake cruise featuring Autumn Moon over the Calm Lake and Broken Bridge.
Our guide, Leo, was knowledgeable and engaging, making the history and culture come alive with his stories and explanations. His English was clear and easy to follow, and he even suggested some extra photo spots along the way.
The company’s communication was smooth and flexible. They confirmed everything promptly and adjusted our pickup time when our flight arrived early. The driver was professional and courteous, maintaining a clean vehicle and steady driving throughout the day.
This tour really felt like getting a local’s perspective on Hangzhou’s treasures.

Loved how efficient this tour was. We didn’t waste a second but never felt rushed. From the serene waters of West Lake to the immersive Song Dynasty Town performances, everything was well timed and balanced.
The guide Jason was fantastic. Really knowledgeable, funny, and made sure everyone in the group was engaged. I appreciated how he tailored some of his stories depending on what we seemed most interested in.
Our driver also deserves a shout-out. Clean car, great attitude, and incredibly steady driving even in some narrow streets. You can tell this team has a lot of experience handling tours smoothly.
Meijiawu Tea Village was a perfect stop in the afternoon. Peaceful views, tasty tea, and a nice breather from the sightseeing.

Honestly, I wasn’t expecting to be so impressed by a museum about knives and scissors, but it turned out to be super cool. The guide, Lily, made it even better – her English was excellent, and she had this way of explaining things that made even steel-forging sound exciting.
The highlight for me was the Grand Canal boat ride. Floating past historic warehouses and ancient bridges gave us a whole new view of Hangzhou. The company was great too – they responded quickly to our last-minute booking and customized the pickup spot for us with no fuss.
Our driver was calm and polite, the car smelled fresh and was stocked with water. Felt like we were in good hands the whole time.
Loved ending the day at Meijiawu Tea Village – peaceful vibe, and we got to taste some seriously good green tea with zero pressure to buy anything.

This tour was packed but surprisingly smooth. We covered Feilai Peak, Lingyin Temple, and Yongfu Temple in the morning, which gave us a great sense of Hangzhou’s deep Buddhist history. I especially loved the peaceful vibe at Yongfu – way less crowded than Lingyin and felt almost meditative.
Our guide, Amy, was a gem. She spoke perfect English and had this calm energy that fit the temples perfectly. She shared stories that made the stone carvings and pagodas come alive and even taught us how to do a simple temple bow ritual which I thought was a nice touch.
The West Lake cruise was super chill, and seeing Leifeng Pagoda from the water was a postcard moment. We ended at Hefang Street, where Amy helped us pick some unique local snacks and souvenirs – not the touristy junk, but cool little things with stories behind them.
The driver deserves a mention too. The van was spotless, and the AC was perfect (it was hot out). He drove smoothly through some tight areas without ever feeling rushed.

This was honestly one of the most relaxing days I’ve had in a long time. The West Lake boat ride was beautiful, of course, but what really stood out for me was walking through the Bamboo-lined Path at Yunqi. It was quiet, peaceful, and just smelled so fresh. The Nine Creeks trail felt magical, with misty trees and streams that made the whole place feel almost surreal.
Our guide Kevin was fantastic. Super knowledgeable and also really friendly. He told us stories about the area, explained local tea culture in a fun way, and even took some great photos for us. It felt like hanging out with a friend who just happened to know everything about Hangzhou.
The car was spotless and very comfortable. The driver was polite and the ride was smooth even on curvy mountain roads. No motion sickness at all which is rare for me.

We had such a wonderful time exploring Hangzhou with this tour. Our guide was absolutely amazing. Not only was her English fluent, but she also had a lovely energy and clearly loved sharing her city. At Meijiawu Tea Plantation, she walked us through the tea-making process and helped us connect with a local farmer for a casual tasting, which was a memorable moment.
The driver provided a very comfortable experience. The car was clean and quiet, and he drove so smoothly that we could relax between stops without any motion discomfort. He also made sure the car was cool and stocked with tissues and water.
The itinerary was a perfect balance of scenic views and cultural richness. I especially liked Guo Garden, which was surprisingly peaceful and full of hidden beauty. Ending the day on Southern Song Imperial Street gave us time to pick up a few snacks and souvenirs without rushing.
Booking with the company was a breeze. They answered our questions promptly and helped adjust the route when we asked to start a little earlier. The whole process felt very professional and personal at the same time.
Highly recommend this tour for anyone looking to see the essence of Hangzhou in comfort and with depth.

I joined this one-day tour hoping to learn more about Hangzhou’s tea culture, and it absolutely exceeded expectations. The itinerary was thoughtfully arranged. We had just enough time to enjoy each stop without ever feeling rushed. From the peaceful West Lake boat cruise to the elegant Guo Garden and then deep into the world of tea at Meijiawu and Longjing Imperial Tea Garden, every site had its charm and purpose.
Our guide was exceptional. She spoke fluent English and had a warm, welcoming presence. At the China National Tea Museum, she provided insightful explanations that really deepened my appreciation for Chinese tea traditions. She even helped translate during our tea tasting, making sure we understood every step.
The driver was also fantastic. The vehicle was clean, air-conditioned, and had bottled water ready. He was polite, respectful, and his driving was smooth the entire day with no jerky stops or sudden turns.
Communication with the company before the trip was easy and efficient. They answered questions promptly and made helpful suggestions when we were finalizing our schedule. This gave us a lot of confidence that everything would go smoothly, and it truly did.
